Overseas Indian banks post high credit growth

Growth stood at 27% 2011-12 compared to foreign banks operating in India.

The Reserve Bank showed said growth of credit extended by Indian banks' branches operating abroad increased to US$82.6 billion. Credit extended by foreign banks operating in India increased by 22% to US$44.5 billion during 2011-12.
