 
  BNPL provider Atome Financial doubles operating income in 2023
It’s BNPL services are now profitable, the company said in a press release.
Atome Financial, a Southeast Asia-based digital financial services platform, saw its operating income nearly double to $170m as of end-December 2023, a jump above the $88m recorded in 2022.
Atome– whose services include a buy now pay later (BNPL) platform and Indonesian digital lending platform Kredit Pintar– also shared that its EBITDA has turned positive in Q1 2024.

Atome attributed the growth to its BNPL business, where it processed nearly $1.5b in gross merchandise volume in 2023. This is a 40% increase from a year ago.
Atome’s BNPL services are now profitable, it added, thanks to a 130% surge in revenue.
