Japan and Indonesia renew their bilateral swap agreement

Japan and Indonesia have renewed their bilateral swap agreement, effective 14 October.

The size of the BSA remains unchanged at up to $22.76b or its equivalent in Japanese yen, according to a statement posted on the Bank Indonesia (BI) website.

The Bank of Japan and the Bank Indonesia inked the fourth amendment and restatement agreement of the third BSA. 

Japan and Indonesia expect that the BSA, which is aimed at strengthening a financial safety net, will further help deepen the long-standing financial cooperation between the two countries and contribute to regional and global financial stability.
