
Citi China unveils 3rd consumer outlet in Chengdu
It's a new smart banking subbranch.
According to a release, Citibank Co., Ltd. today opened its third consumer outlet in Chengdu which is located on Dong Da Jie of Jinjiang district.
The new subbranch is a smart banking one, designed to provide a unique and superior banking experience to Citi’s customers in Chengdu. An opening ceremony was held, attended by Simon Chow, Country Business Manager for Citi China and Ricky Lin, Head of Retail Banking, Citi China.
Simon said, “We are delighted to be expanding in the city of Chengdu, where we enjoy a long presence and witness a fast growing consumer base with evolving and growing financial needs.
The consumer business for Citi in China has been experiencing high growth with many major developments, including the launch of our sole-branded credit cards and local mutual funds business. With this new outlet, we are able to make all our offerings available for more customers in Chengdu, a key market that we are strongly committed to.”
The new opening brings the number of consumer outlets of Citi China to 52, in 13 cities. It comes just after Citi launched the domestic mutual funds business in China, one of its latest significant developments in continuous efforts to expand business scope and offering.
