Citi names Marc Luet as Asia North & Australia Cluster and Banking Head

Luet replaces Angel Ng, who is retiring on 5 April after 26 years with the bank.

Citi has appointed Marc Luet as Asia North & Australia Cluster and Banking Head.

In a press release, the bank announced that veteran banker Angel Ng has decided to retire after 26 years with Citi.

Luet, who is currently Japan Cluster and Banking Head, will take over Ng’s position. Luet will be based in Hong Kong and will have responsibility for the geographic management and legal entity management across the cluster– with oversight over Citi’s franchise in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Korea, New Zealand, and Taiwan.

Prior to his new role, Luet has held a variety of senior positions as Citi country office (CCO) and CEO across various businesses in the bank, including Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Poland, and Turkey, amongst others. Luet has also worked at Citi’s consumer banking business in EMEA.
