 
  Chart of the Week: Malaysian banks' bond issuances up 10%
Issuances hit US$2b in August 2017.
According to Maybank Kim Eng, bond issues in August totalled MYR8.7b (US$2b) versus MYR2.8b (US$661m) in July 2017 and a hefty MYR12.8b (US$3b) in Aug 2016. Bond issuances in the first eight months of 2017 amounted to MYR65.8b (US$15.5b), or a narrower 10% YoY lead over the MYR59.8b (US$14.1b) issued in Jan-Aug 2016.
