Citi Australia names David Bailey as head of debt capital markets

Bailey returns to Australia from New York.

Citi Australia has appointed David Bailey as the head of debt capital markets for the Australia and New Zealand.

Bailey is currently head of Citi’s cross border capital markets in New York, where he is responsible for the origination and execution of US dollar securities for global borrowers and selected domestic clients. Prior to that, he held a number of senior roles for Citi in Australia.

In a statement, Bailey expressed excitement about returning to Australia to assume his new role.

“The Australian DCM team has consistently enjoyed a top market position for over 20 years, with multiple landmark transactions across global currencies for Australian and New Zealand borrowers. I am looking forward to working with an excellent team and building on the remarkable success that has been made possible by the partnership with Citi’s key clients in the region,” Bailey said.
