 
  Thailand’s KBank earmarks $5.53b for sustainable funding, loans
The bank says it will grant the funding and loans to 1.9 million small pocket customers.
Kasikornbank or KBank has outlined targets to disburse $5.53b (THB200b) in sustainable funding and loans and become an ESG leader amongst banks in Southeast Asia.
In a press release, KBank said that it plans to disburse the sustainable funding to 1.9 million small pocket customers as a means to improve their access to financing.
To date, KBank has granted over $443.7m (THB16b) in sustainable financing and investments. Over $636m (THB23b) have been handed out to 500,000 small-pocket customers as of September 2022.
The bank also now processes all project finance and commercial loans for medium and large enterprises through an ESG risk assessment procedure.
