Tharman reappointed MAS board chairman

He will serve until May 31, 2015.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore said that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Tharman Shanmugaratnam has been reappointed Chairman of the MAS Board of Directors effective May 21.

Managing Director Ravi Menon was reappointed both as Managing Director of MAS and a member of the MAS Board of Directors for a further term of two years, with effect from 1 June 1, 2013.

Minister for Education Heng Swee Keat and Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Senior Minister of State (Communications and Information) Lawrence Wong Shyun Tsai were also reappointed as members of the MAS Board of Directors for a further term of two years.
