 
  Philippine central bank welcomes new monetary board member
Querubin was president and CEO of UCPB from 2003-2007.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has officially welcomed Jose L. Querubin as a new monetary board member (MBM).
Querubin took his oath of office at the BSP head office on 5 September 2024. BSP governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. was present at the event.
Querubin will serve until 2 July 2026.
Prior to becoming an MBM, he was the president and CEO of the United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB) from 2003-2007.
He was also a board member for the ASEAN Finance Corporation, now the AFC Merchant Bank, from 2005-2007.
He holds an MBA from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, and bachelor’s degrees in mathematics (cum laude) and mechanical engineering from De La Salle University.
