BOCHK warns against phishing email

It advised customers to delete suspicious emails and attachments without opening them.

Bank of China (Hong Kong) (BOCHK) has warned customers against a phishing email pretending to be from the bank.

The email address info@bocwealth-hk(dot)com reportedly intends to steal customers’ data, BOCHK said in a press release.

“BOCHK declares that it has no connection with the phishing email. Meanwhile, the case has been reported to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Hong Kong Police Force,” the bank said.

“Please delete suspicious emails and attachments immediately without opening them,” BOCHK said.

Customers who have receive the phishing email, made payments, or provided personal information to the email are urged to immediately contact the BOCHK Customer Service Hotline: (852) 3988 2388 (press 3, # and 2 after language selection).
